FFIEC – Resources & Tools

The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) is an interagency body comprised of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the National Credit Union Administration, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The focal mission of the Council is to promote consistency in examination activities.

Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)

The CFR is the official, codified compilation of general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by U.S. federal agencies. It is divided into 50 titles, with Title 12 covering Banks and Banking and Title 17 covering Commodity and Securities Exchanges.

Another resource is the interactive CFR developed by the CFPB, which is a bit more user friendly. You can access electronic copies of the current, complete versions of all CFPB regulations published in the electronic Code of Federal Regulations (eCFR). The eCFR is updated regularly and is an unofficial compilation of both CFR material and Federal Register amendments.

United States Code (USC)

The United States Code is a consolidation and codification by subject matter of the general and permanent laws of the United States.
